We are seeking a visionary Data Science and AI Tech Lead who is deeply passionate about leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to drive strategic innovation.

You will join the dynamic Data & Analytics department, a vibrant community of over 50 professionals passionate about driving the data agenda at BESTSELLER. Embedded in a product team of ten top-tier professionals, you will leverage data to enhance customer experience, optimize operations, and drive performance growth – all while upholding the highest technical standards and user satisfaction.

YOUR NEW ROLE
As a Tech Lead in the Data & Analytics department, you will set the technical direction for a team of top-tier data scientists, engineers, and developers in the development of AI-driven systems and strategies that shape our business operations and future growth. You will serve as a technical leader and a strategic advisor, ensuring the alignment of technical and business roadmaps. This role places you at the forefront of our APPRETIO platform – our commitment to revolutionizing merchandising through advanced, data-driven solutions. 

YOUR IMPACT
In your capacity as a Data Science and AI Tech Lead, you will:

  • Strategize and oversee the development and implementation of data science and AI solutions within a top delivery team.
  • Support project management activities, ensuring timely delivery of initiatives and effective resolution of technical challenges.
  • Define and optimize the use of state-of-the-art tools such as Python, Pytorch, Kubernetes, Plotly Dash, Databricks, MLFlow, and Snowflake to architect and sustain sophisticated applications.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, engineers, and developers to deliver integrated solutions that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Lead efforts to monitor, debug, and optimize machine learning models and applications to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability. 
  • Synergize with other Technical Leaders to manage the implementation and adoption of industry leading standards and technology, as well as to accelerate efficient collaboration between data teams.

YOUR PROFILE
You are a dynamic, forward-thinking leader, driven by challenges and committed to using data intelligently. You resonate with most of the following:

  • A PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in Python and a deep interest in machine learning and predictive modeling.
  • A solid foundation in the statistical and algorithmic aspects of machine learning.
  • Demonstrated success in deploying AI solutions in production environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at presenting complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile environments and with a proactive, solution-focused approach to tasks.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

The following qualifications would also be an advantage:

  • Proficiency in Plotly Dash, cloud computing services (GCP, AWS, Azure), and database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and developing/maintaining production-grade web applications.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Your primary workplace will be at our vibrant office in Aarhus.
