Are you a DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in platform engineering and a knack for building cloud-native data platform?
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Data Platform Team, where you will play a key role in building and operating the data platform that powers insights across all BESTSELLER brands.
YOUR TEAM
You’ll be part of our Data & Analytics organisation with more than 50 colleagues who actively drive the data agenda across BESTSELLER. It’s a collaborative environment of data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and designers all working together to unlock the true value of data.
More specifically, you will join our Data Platform Team, currently consisting of four passionate engineers. The team works from Amsterdam and Aarhus and collaborates closely with tech, product, design, and e-commerce teams across Europe. We share ideas, experiment, learn fast – and challenge each other to build what’s next.
YOUR ROLE
As a DevOps Engineer, you will help build, optimise and operate the core infrastructure behind our data platform. You’ll work with cloud technologies, orchestration and automation to ensure a secure, stable and scalable environment for our data teams.
Furthermore, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Own and evolve our Airflow platform, including Helm-based deployment and image management.
- Develop and operate DataHub, including ingestion from dbt and Snowflake, integration improvements and automations.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Helm, Helmfile, Kubernetes and services across Azure and GCP.
- Strengthen authentication and access management using Vault, Azure AD, SSO and Kubernetes auth.
- Automate Snowflake access provisioning and secure cross-environment data workflows.
- Collaborate with TECH Engineering Services (ES) to improve deployments and platform stability.
- Document best practices and support colleagues working with our data infrastructure.
TECH STACK YOU’LL WORK WITH
- Data: Snowflake, DBT, Databricks, Kafka.
- Cloud: Primarily Azure – but cloud-agnostic thinking is highly valued.
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions.
- Infrastructure: Terraform, Kubernetes.
- Monitoring: DataDog.
YOUR PROFILE
If you are passionate about cutting-edge technologies, data platform engineering, and driving impactful business solutions, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and collaborative team.
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
- • Experience as a Platform/DevOps Engineer, preferably in a data-centric environment.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash or similar).
• A collaborative mindset and enjoyment of solving real technical challenges together with others.
YOUR BENEFITS
- You will experience a high level of trust and freedom, allowing you to structure your work and drive your daily tasks independently.
- You will be part of a passionate and supportive team that is always ready to help, challenge, and collaborate with you.
- You will play an important role in shaping the future of our data-driven organization and in unlocking the full potential of our data assets.
- You will have room to grow - both professionally and personally.
