ABOUT THE TEAM  
You’ll be part of our Master Data – Product Experience team:  

  • A collaborative team of four Data Engineers passionate about building and evolving data products. 
  • Working closely with our Master Data 360 team to define best practices and onboard domains into the data mesh. 
  • Partnering across business units like e-commerce, product development, and operations to deliver reliable and value-creating data.

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF DATA IN BESTSELLER 
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Master Data applications while developing scalable data pipelines and products in a cloud-based environment. You will play a key role in implementing our data mesh strategy, ensuring that data is discoverable, trustworthy, and reusable across the organisation.

Collaboration will be a central part of your work, as you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into high-quality, practical solutions. You will also contribute to continuously improving data quality, performance, and governance practices. 

More specifically, your tasks include:  

  • Create Master Data architecture and modelling  
  • Configure Master Data applications    
  • Develop Data pipelines  
  • Modelling and transformation of data  
  • Implementation of data products including data contracts  
  • Engagement of stakeholders to understand the tasks and business requirements  
  • Exploring and implementing modern tools and technologies that strengthen our data ecosystem.

We image you bring: 

  • Experience as a Data Engineer or similar working with modern data stacks (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Syndigo and similar).  
  • Experience with Master Data applications and architecture  
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and data modelling.  
  • Familiarity with data mesh principles, data governance, and domain-driven design.
