At BESTSELLER we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to independently drive data engineering projects moving data from a source system to our warehouse. Fashion is ever changing and the amount of data that we could potentially add to our ecosystem is numerous. A Data Engineer in BESTSELLER shapes and implements technology and business solutions that will deliver direct and tangible value for our company and the many brands we support.

Your team
You will be part of our Business-to-Consumer team within BESTSELLER’s Data & Analytics department. Our team consists of 6 dedicated team players, who are all specialists within their area of expertise. Our purpose is to develop value-creating data products and deliver crucial business data to our partners in the Brands. Our everyday work is made up of data analysis, data integration and project-based tasks, all done in close collaboration with our brands, markets, and other core functions.

 

Your job
As our new Data Engineer, you will in close collaboration with your colleagues ensure that we can measure our Retail data in the best possible way. You will ensure that the data is added seamlessly to our warehouse in a fast and stabile way. Furthermore, you will be able to collaborate with our partners and communicate with them and arrange everything from testing to handover. To do so, you will bring a strong engineering toolbox that is matched with a high motivation for creating business value through completed projects.

We expect that you are an outgoing and energetic team player who takes ownership and creates positive results. You have a structured and curious approach to your work. To succeed in the role, you can recognize and apply best practices, methodology, tools, and techniques to meet our partners business requirements, timelines, and budgets Additionally, you have the following qualifications: 

 

  • Experience with SQL and Python is required
  • Experience with Snowflake and Power BI is a plus
  • Desire to quickly learn and apply tools are essential
  • Strong collaboration skills. You will work closely together with less technical people than yourself.
  • Call it agile or just call it common sense, but we work with plans and stick to them, but differ when we are met by challenges. We use DevOps to manage projects.

Location: You will be working full time from our beautiful office in Aarhus. Our main office is in Brande, so you are expected to attend occasional meetings there as well.
