YOUR TEAM
You will help shape a self-organised, agile team of Data Engineers responsible for enabling BESTSELLER TECH teams to interact with data. We share a passion for new and open-source technologies, and with us, you will experience a high degree of autonomy and have a direct impact on the solutions we build.
We make fast decisions, encourage experimentation, and move quickly from idea to execution.

YOUR ROLE
You will play a key role in shaping how we interact and share data both within and outside of BESTSELLER – from building data products to setting API standards. Our ambition in BESTSELLER TECH is to empower every team to connect with data. This means you will engage with a wide range of both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation.

As a Data Engineer in our Data Integration Services (DIS) team, you will have the chance to:

• Impact our data strategy and how BESTSELLER TECH works with data. 
• Onboard stakeholders onto a modern data platform built on Snowflake, dbt and managed with Terraform. 
• Act as a trusted advisor on Kafka as well as continue to evolve our Kafka setup.   
• Integrate and manage data from various sources such as Kafka, custom APIs, and cloud services. 
• Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, constantly learning and exploring new possibilities within the field.

YOUR PROFILE

We’re looking for someone who is:

Your technical toolbox includes:

• Expertise in Python development. 
• Proficiency in SQL. 
• Understanding of distributed systems and experience with Kafka or similar is a plus. 
• Passionate technologist with thirst for knowledge and desire to learn.
