Frontend Developer

Our team is looking for an experienced Frontend Developer who:  

  • knows how to build an application that is responsive across devices 
  • knows JavaScript (preferably React) and how to use JS. libraries  
  • has a good understanding of the architectural pros and cons within your decisions
  • knows how to collaborate closely with backend developers and software architects

 

The Job 
Your primary work assignments will be developing and producing of frontend functionality for our solutions, assuring code aligned with code convention for the solution, code reviews, optimizing and maintaining of standard elements, estimating tasks, testing, collaborating in sparring regarding methods, frameworks, and approaches in general with the development work, and finally contribute positively sparring with our customers and colleagues. 

 

The team 
You will be working in a team of 12 colleagues working across BESTSELLER’s entire wholesale business, focusing on taking advantage of digital solutions that can increase effectiveness across all our brands and markets. The team focuses on delivering value to our stakeholders with a pragmatic approach.

Your profile
As a person, you have a strong desire to learn and understand new technologies. Also, you should be passionate for frontend code and understand UX. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and you enjoy finding creative solutions to complex problems. 

 

With your critical eye and sense for detail, you deliver quality code, take ownership, and feel accountable for the team’s results. You thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with colleagues across the entire business to deliver solutions with the end-user in mind. 

 

It is expected that you have an understanding for the following: 

  • HTML     
  • CSS processors
  • Javascript – preferably React
  • JQuery
  • Rest APIs
  • Browser optimization
  • Responsive design

 

Moreover, we value if you have a knowhow of the connection between frontend and backend and know how to use APIs to communicate with backend. It is considered an advantage if you have experience with the use of JavaScript libraries and Module bundlers (Webpack or similar).
