FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Department: Distribution Centre

Hourly Rate: 24$/hour

THE ROLE

As a Forklift Operator, you play a key role in the daily operations of our distribution centre. You are responsible for safely and efficiently handling, moving and storing merchandise while ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in accordance with BESTSELLER policies and applicable CNESST requirements.
• Load and unload merchandise from trucks and other vehicles.
• Move, store and stack pallets in designated locations.
• Prepare customer orders according to specific requirements.
• Meet required deadlines, including the hours and dates associated with customer orders.
• Identify pallets according to applicable requirements and restrictions.
• Complete daily forklift inspections and immediately report any mechanical or safety issues to the Team Leader.
• Place pallets in the correct locations and maintain accurate inventory locations.
• Transfer and consolidate pallet locations to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Support material handling duties when required.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Valid forklift operator certification.
• At least 5+ years of Forklift Operator Experience 
• Experience operating Crown forklifts is an asset.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Positive attitude, strong energy and a proactive approach.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
