YOUR TEAM

You'll be joining a collaborative and driven Finnish People Team, working alongside a People Admin & Payroll Specialist, People Assistant, and a People Business Partner for BESTSELLER Wholesale. We pride ourselves on our proactive problem-solving and our commitment to continuous improvement. You'll collaborate closely with the business and operational teams for VERO MODA, JACK&JONES, NAME IT and VILA.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a People Manager, you are responsible for the HR function in BESTSELLER Stores Finland. You'll ensure people-related topics form an essential part of our business decision-making, playing a key role in driving the People agenda and acting as a People Business Partner for the managers. You will be driving initiatives independently as well as collaborating with your team to find solutions that deliver the most value to our colleagues and our business. More specifically, your tasks include:

  • Developing and supporting the recruitment process
  • Creating and implementing policies and processes
  • Providing leadership support and development
  • Leading employer branding initiatives
  • Administering and supporting HR systems
  • Consulting on employment-related matters
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with external partners (e.g., health care provider, pension insurance company)
  • Supporting the monthly payroll process and other administrative tasks
  • Ensuring overall compliance in HR
  • Leading the retail PEOPLE team
  • Managing local contracts: Overseeing local contracts for services such as phone, internet, and security

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, ideally in retail
  • Strong knowledge of Finnish labor laws and collective agreements, as well as manager´s responsibilities in daily HR issues
  • You are equally comfortable developing strategic plans and rolling up your sleeves and handle operational tasks
  • Demonstrates skills and motivation to support managers and personnel throughout the employee lifecycle
  • You are proactive in seeking opportunities for your own professional growth and are equally passionate about fostering the development of your team members through mentorship and guidance
  • Excellent communication skills in English: ability to influence, collaborate, and engage with all levels of the organization
  • Has a self-initiated, solution-oriented approach with a collaborative mindset – you can find constructive solutions even in challenging situations
  • Is fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
  • Shows willingness to travel to our retail stores in Finland as well as to our HQ in Denmark
  • Is passionate about talent development and the growth of organizations

This is a one-year temporary cover position in our head office in Espoo from December onwards.
