WORKING AS ONE GLOBAL TEAM
At BESTSELLER, our Responsible Sourcing function is an integral part of the Global Supply Chain. Our vision is to achieve sustainable, efficient sourcing through partnerships with leading manufacturers. We set and implement policies for due diligence and responsible sourcing practices across our global supply chain, ensuring robust social, labour, chemical, and environmental management systems. We work to contribute to industry solutions that collaboratively address key social and environmental challenges. We collaborate with other Business Units to support brand strategies, and our Fashion FWD Sustainability Strategy. 

YOUR JOB
As part of the global environmental team, you play a key role in securing environmental standards and driving improvement programmes across manufacturing sites. You help set direction, ensure global alignment, leverage specialist expertise and influence and motivate teams across regions to achieve environmental targets. You will contribute to the development of tools for performance monitoring and collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive progress. Acting as a key coordinator across the global environmental set-up, you will help ensure consistent communication, aligned supplier expectations and clear, usable tools across all regions. 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing policies and guidelines to uphold BESTSELLER’s environmental standards and meet sustainability targets in manufacturing for climate, water and waste management.
  • Integrating BESTSELLER policies, industry standards and sustainability commitments into supplier expectations and supply chain programmes.
  • Maintaining and updating environmental management policies and approaches in close dialogue with regional Environmental Managers.
  • Conducting ongoing risk and impact assessments across sourcing regions to ensure effective strategy and programme impact.
  • Supporting global teams to work with key suppliers and other stakeholders to set and implement regional environmental roadmaps on decarbonisation, water management and other environmental impact topics.
  • Working in close collaboration with industry stakeholders and initiatives to deliver environmental management improvements
  • Establishing clear KPIs and tracking targets across regions, suppliers, and product categories.

YOUR PROFILE
You are a team player who is solutions-oriented and able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment. You bring strong technical environmental expertise and contribute by motivating and influencing global teams through collaboration, alignment and expert insight. You operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels. You bring: 

  • Experience managing environmental standards and driving improvement in manufacturing sites across complex a global supply chain, ideally gained within the garment industry
  • Strong experience developing and implementing environmental policies and strategies in large and complex organisations, with an ability to navigate local contexts across sourcing regions
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills
  • Deep knowledge of international textile and apparel supply chains
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English
