We are seeking an Environmental Specialist with strong academic knowledge and practical experience in environmental management and compliance.
Area of responsibility
- Coordination between suppliers and other relevant to monitor, follow up and control to ensure BESTSELLER Environmental Requirements throughout the supply chain in Pakistan.
- Planning and organizing chemical & environmental assessment (CEA) and conducting the assessment for the relevant suppliers and wet process units.
- Ensuring that all wet processing units have Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) in place, assessing suppliers’ ETPs to verify the effectiveness and efficiency of their processes, and verifying ZDHC and local regulatory test reports in accordance with requirements.
- Following up with suppliers implementing the action plan derived from factory verification.
- Supporting suppliers to improve environmental performance.
- Assisting and guiding Bestseller brands or suppliers when they need help in environmental issues.
- Deriving action plan to engage suppliers in Higg Index FEM self-assessment and verification.
- Ensuring continuous improvement on environment & chemical compliance through training, seminars, meetings or instruction.
- Conducting quarterly ratings for suppliers and updating in SharePoint.
- Working together with other regions to develop rating criteria for suppliers’ environmental rating.
- Solving the daily challenges in co-operation with local suppliers and Bestseller sustainability department in Denmark.
- Supporting overall activities of Chemical & Environment team to achieve Bestseller’s goals. Supporting requirement of data analysis for the business.
- Communicating the success criteria of Bestseller chemical and environmental system and standards to suppliers.
Success criteria
- Understanding the vision and strategy of Bestseller sustainability strategy and drive all the relevant project on chemical and environmental management successfully.
- Timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks and its report.
- Acting as a good team player and colleague according to Bestseller’s founding principles.
- Ensure all environment related projects are delivered on time.
- Support DK and global team with environment related issues.
- Business trips to the suppliers, Denmark and other destinations.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in environmental management, compliance, and sustainability, with a focus on wastewater and water recycling (experience within the garment/manufacturing industry is preferred).
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards, and reporting practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with environmental tools (e.g., GIS) is an added advantage.
- Proactive attitude with attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team; open-minded, energetic, and collaborative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with regulatory bodies, auditors, and internal teams.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines.
