Your Role:

As our Junior Finance Analyst (UK), you will provide commercial insight and basic financial analysis across both the Wholesale and Retail business units, ensuring that your time and support are balanced equally between them. Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner for the UK, you will also work closely with the respective business heads and build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Through thoughtful analysis, clear reporting and effective business partnering, you will contribute to decision-making and support the future direction of the UK business.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide balanced financial support and commercial insight to the Wholesale and Retail business units, managing priorities to ensure both areas receive equal focus.
  • Partner closely with the Finance Business Partner, Wholesale and Retail business heads, and other key stakeholders to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed analysis across all areas of the P&L, including revenue, gross margin, personnel and operating costs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver clear analysis and reporting on logistics and operational performance, highlighting potential issues and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reporting on key financial and commercial KPIs, covering current performance and future outlook.
  • Monitor the cost base, including invoice and expenditure approvals, and review performance closely against budget and forecast.
  • Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and ongoing performance reviews for both business units.
  • Support financial administration, including new customer account setup and commercial term reviews.
  • Help maintain and develop local reporting tools, including Power BI dashboards and other management reporting solutions.
  • Lead or support monthly performance reviews with key stakeholders, clearly presenting financial results, KPIs, risks, opportunities and agreed actions.

About You:

You are commercially minded, analytical and confident in translating financial information into clear, practical insight. Strong stakeholder management is essential, as you will need to build effective relationships across both Wholesale and Retail, manage competing priorities and ensure your time is divided fairly between the two business units.

  • Comfortable working in a lean team structure, taking ownership of your workload and adapting quickly to the changing needs of the business.
  • Experience in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous.
  • A formal accounting qualification, or progress towards one such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, is desirable but not essential; relevant experience, commercial awareness and the right mindset are equally valued.
  • You will thrive in a flat organisational structure that offers freedom with responsibility and rewards a proactive, collaborative approach.
