Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Reports to: Accounts Payable Lead
Location: Montreal, Quebec

WHAT YOU’LL DO.
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll manage the full accounts payable cycle, handling monthly entries and reconciliations, participating in the monthly accounting close, and ensuring internal controls. You ensure that we follow the appropriate approval processes and expense reports in order to exceed the expectations of our employees and our customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Organize and maintain files for audits.
- Verify accounts daily by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Process a large number of invoices by matching them to purchase orders, verifying details, planning disbursements, and obtaining payment approval.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and build relationships.
- Prepare general ledger entries, record account transactions, and conduct analyses.
- Use accounting software and use your knowledge Excel skills for reports, templates, etc.
- Resolve account discrepancies by reviewing documentation and making necessary adjustments.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Over 2 years of experience in a similar role, including full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
- AEC, DEC or DEP in accounting / finance or equivalent.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel (mastery of VLookUp functions and pivot tables).
- Skills in organization and prioritization.
- Great attention to detail.
