Position:  District Manager (Outlets)
Reports to: Country Retail Manager, JACK & JONES
Travel Requirement: 60% travel, 40% office-based
Location: Montreal, QC

Eager to influence the retail landscape? We are currently seeking a District Manager to lead our operations for Outlets and make strategic decisions to position JACK & JONES for consistent success. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The District Manager will oversee the performance, staffing, and operations of 8+ retail outlets across Canada. You will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and implementing company initiatives while traveling to various store locations. The remaining of your time will be spent working from our headquarters in Montreal, focusing on strategic planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop store managers and their teams to achieve sales and performance goals.
• Regularly visit and assess store locations across Canada to ensure alignment with company standards (2-3 trips on a monthly basis).
• Regularly communicate with the Denmark team to ensure company standards, including two annual trips for collaboration.
• Analyze sales trends, turnover rates, and stock levels to optimize inventory across multiple locations.
• Provide training and development to store teams on best practices for outlet-specific operations, customer engagement, and promotional management.
• Ensure each outlet operates efficiently with a focus on inventory management, sales promotions, and stock replenishment specific to outlet environments.
• Implement processes to streamline back-of-house operations, including stockroom organization and shrinkage prevention.
• Manage store-level promotions, markdown strategies, and seasonal clearance events to maintain a balance of inventory flow and profitability.
• Foster a positive work environment that reflects the company’s values and encourages teamwork.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR… 

• 5+ years of experience in retail management, with a focus on menswear preferred.
• Proven ability to drive sales and achieve targets within a multi-store environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight stays when needed.
• You are positive, outgoing and identify with the BESTSELLER’s 10 principles (values).
• Great communication and interpersonal skills in both languages (English & French) as you will managing store managers across Canada.
• Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel nationally.
• Flexibility to travel within the district as needed.
