Position: District Manager
Reports to: JACK&JONES & JJXX, Country Retail Manager
Location: USA (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania)
Eager to influence the retail landscape? We are currently seeking an Area Manager to lead our team in the USA and oversee our JACK & JONES & JJXX stores for consistent success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You are a pivotal figure that will orchestrate the success of our retail network through effective leadership and operational management. Your time will be dedicated to ensuring that budgets, KPI targets, and performance goals are met, while leading your team to deliver exceptional service and product knowledge.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
• Develop and execute action plans to ensure your area meets its budgets (EBIT) and achieves KPI targets, including digital and staff performance metrics.
• Monitor and follow up on key performance indicators to ensure goals are consistently met.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
• Oversee and evaluate staff planning to enhance productivity across your area.
• Monitor daily performance and set goals using the Sales Target tool.
• Utilize Money Mapping weekly to ensure the right actions are taken based on performance data.
• Implement loss prevention strategies, follow up on actions, and ensure store compliance with end-of-day procedures.
DIGITAL INITIATIVES
• Drive the adoption of the &CLUB, ensuring that Store Managers take ownership and meet KPI targets.
• Motivate and train staff on In-Store-Ordering and ensure that digital initiatives are fully leveraged.
• Use JJ2GO to keep your staff informed, motivated, and engaged.
• Focus on seasonality to drive gift card conversions, especially during key periods like Christmas and Father’s Day.
• Oversee the Ship-from-Store initiative to streamline store operations.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
• Implement action plans to ensure that staff delivers high-quality service to customers across your area.
• Track performance daily, providing ongoing feedback and support to store managers.
• Develop and execute training plans to improve the skills and performance of your team.
• Lead the recruitment process to ensure that only the best candidates are hired for Store Manager positions.
• Oversee onboarding processes for new Store Managers and ensure new staff completes training on JJ2GO.
RITUALS & MEASUREMENTS
• DAILY: Monitor key performance metrics, staff performance, and operational efficiency across your stores.
• MONTHLY: Evaluate store performance, including turnover, profitability, and KPI achievements, making adjustments as needed.
• YEARLY: Review long-term results, including EBIT, gross margin, stock take, and staff retention, to assess overall success and areas for improvement.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• 5+ years of experience in retail management, with a focus on menswear preferred.
• Proven ability to drive sales and achieve targets within a multi-store environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• A vehicle and valid driver’s license, ability to travel locally within the USA.
• Flexibility to travel within the district as needed.
