Position: Retail Buyer

Reports to: JACK&JONES    &    JJXX, Country Retail Manager

Location: USA (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania)

We are currently seeking a Retail Buyer to join our team at JACK & JONES in the USA, overseeing product selection and driving the success of our stores through strategic buying, category management, and in-store product presentation to maximize sales and ensure the right product mix.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Retail Buyer at JACK & JONES, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, selecting product assortments, and ensuring that the buying strategy aligns with store needs and customer preferences. You’ll work closely with the merchandising and operations teams, track performance, and ensure that the right products are in-store at the right time to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

BUYING
•    Analyze Country/Chain performance, Category, and Concepts to prepare buying strategy.
•    Ensure product package alignment per store, optimize option count, and ensure visual merchandising solutions meet customer journey expectations. 
•    Confirm product values, vertical earnings, and chain commitment, comparing with the merchandising plan.
OPERATIONS
•     Analyze operational performance through SF5 for ongoing optimization.
•     Measure concept performance and SPS value to evaluate buying effectiveness.
•    Manage style timelines and category sales curves to maintain consistent stock flow within our NOOS Operations.
•    Develop strategy for controlling old stock and maintaining profitability.
•    Prepare product packages for new store openings and oversee opening activities.
•    Follow up on competitor activity and gather feedback for future buying decisions.
•    Optimize sales potential by managing stock transfers and minimizing upcoming sales events.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
•    3+ years of experience in retail buying, preferably within menswear or fashion.
•    Strong understanding of buying processes, product packaging, and visual merchandising.
•    Ability to analyze performance data and adjust buying strategies accordingly.
•    Proven experience in markdown strategies, store visits, and transferring stock to optimize sales
•    Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
•    Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and suppliers.
