At VERO MODA, we are looking for a Buying Intern to join our Buying Department. You will gain hands-on experience with buying processes in an international fashion business – from idea and design to purchasing and sales.

JOIN A CREATIVE AND STRUCTURED TEAM
In the Buying Department, we develop coherent collections based on current trends and colours, targeted at the commercial end consumer. We launch eight collections each year, and each collection requires coordination across multiple functions.

Tasks within buying include creating purchase orders, following up and maintaining close contact with suppliers, supporting process optimisation and analysing style performance. You will work closely with colleagues in Design and Pattern Construction to ensure the right balance between quality, fit and price. With several collections running at different stages at the same time, maintaining overview and progress is essential.

YOUR ROLE
As a Buying Intern, you will be involved in different parts of the collection process, including:

• Preparing purchase orders and following up with international suppliers
• Participating in supplier meetings and supporting price calculations
• Maintaining an overview of styles and their price levels
• Commenting on products in relation to quality, wash, fit and design in collaboration with pattern technicians

YOUR PROFILE
You are currently studying Design & Business, Marketing Management or a similar programme with a focus on buying. You have an interest in the fashion industry and want to apply your academic knowledge in a commercial setting.

In addition, you bring:

• Strong English skills, written and spoken
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Solid numerical understanding and good communication skills
• A structured approach to tasks and the ability to meet deadlines
