Would you like to gain practical experience in an international fashion company as part of your studies? At VERO MODA, we are looking for a Pattern Designer Intern to join our Buying & Design team from Autumn 2026.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience of the pattern construction process – from initial sketch to final fit – and insight into how technical decisions support commercially focused collections.

JOIN A CREATIVE AND STRUCTURED TEAM
In our Buying & Design department, we develop eight collections each year based on current trends and colours, always with the end customer in mind. We work closely across Design, Buying and Pattern Design to ensure the right balance between fit, quality and price. As several collections run simultaneously at different stages, the role requires structure, coordination and clear communication throughout the development and production process.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will join a team of specialists across Buying, Design and Pattern Design, working to ensure consistent fit and construction across our collections. The internship will provide insight into how decisions regarding shape, fit and measurements are made and implemented.

You will collaborate with designers, buyers, fitting assistants and international suppliers to ensure that fit and sizing requirements are clearly communicated and followed.

Your tasks will include:

• Measuring samples and supporting fit sessions
• Providing feedback on fit and construction in collaboration with Buying and Design
• Supporting the approval of samples prior to production
• Assisting with other tasks within the department as required

YOUR PROFILE
You are motivated to understand how fit, measurements and construction contribute to a commercial product. You work in a structured and detail-oriented manner and are comfortable collaborating across teams. You take responsibility for your own development and approach your tasks with focus and accuracy.

We imagine that you:

• Are currently studying in your 6th or 7th semester in Pattern Design or a similar programme
• Have a sound technical understanding of fit, measurements and garment construction
• Work systematically and pay attention to detail
• Communicate clearly and work well with others
• Are fluent in English, written and spoken
