THE TEAM
As Product & Buying Manager for jersey, you will become part of VERO MODA’s Buying and Design department with direct reference to the Buying & Design Director. You will be responsible for your own team consisting of six colleagues – both Buying and Design. 

Moreover, you will be part of our management team in Buying & Design together with our other Product & Buying Managers.

THE JOB
As Product & Buying Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of the employees in your team as well as the budget for the product category. In addition to your leadership role, you have the task of utilizing your passion for fashion, trends, and business-acumen to develop, launch and negotiate eight annual collections in collaboration with your team, the sales team and your suppliers in East Asia and Europe.  

To excel in this role, your primary focus will be on boosting the performance of our jersey category ensuring that we always have the strongest products with eyes for details, craftmanship, quality and the right fit. 

Among others your tasks include:

• Developing and creating collections in close cooperation with your own design team and our suppliers
• Responsible for own production, yarn booking and deliveries within the category
• Setting development goals for the jersey category, following up and making sure we reach the goals 
• Negotiating quality, price, and delivery with our suppliers
• Ensure a clear supplier strategy, proactive in seeking out new production places and constantly developing the suppliers
• Yearly supplier visits and inspirational trips 
• Setting development goals for your team as well as following-up through one-to-one meetings and development talks with your employees
• Closely collaborating with our colleagues in Sales to understand and act on market needs

• Has strong product experience from a position such as Product Manager or Buyer in an international company 
• Has a proven track record from previous work (preferably within fashion and jersey)
• Are an ambitious people-person with experience in leading a team 
• Is fluent in English, written and spoken
