We are looking for an experienced and driven Buyer who will play a key role in developing and elevating our long-term collections within knitwear and jersey.

JOIN OUR BUYING AND DESIGN TEAM 
You will become part of a dedicated and creative team of nine buyers and designers working together to create elevated long-term collections for YAS. Our team is defined by an informal and inspiring atmosphere, where we collaborate closely to translate trends into elegant and timeless products. We focus on perfect details, quality craftsmanship and that special element that makes YAS stand out.

THE ROLE 
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and sourcing knitwear and jersey styles in close collaboration with our design team and trusted suppliers. You will ensure the right balance between style, quality, price and delivery, reflecting the YAS DNA and aesthetics. With your strong commercial mindset and negotiation skills, you will play a key role in shaping new styles together with our designers, while leading supplier dialogues on pricing, quality and terms. 

Sustainability is an integral part of how we work. You will collaborate closely with our suppliers and sourcing offices to continuously improve and optimise sustainability within our collections, while staying curious and informed about new materials and qualities.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and creating collections in close collaboration with designers and suppliers
• Establishing and maintaining strong and long-term supplier partnerships
• Negotiating quality and prices with international suppliers
• Following up on production to ensure timely delivery and consistent quality
• Participating in supplier visits and sourcing trips
• Sourcing new qualities in close cooperation with our suppliers and sourcing offices, while contributing to the development of our key material library of core qualities

We imagine that you:

• Have a relevant education within buying
• Have three to five years of experience in a buying role within the fashion industry
• Have experience with knitwear and jersey, which is considered an advantage
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken
